In these days of spiraling software costs, its refreshing to see some companies working on some afforable software. Color MacCheese is a perfect example of this, from a small group of people known as Delta Tao.
Color MacCheese is a full featured color paint program. It is, to my knowledge, the only program that lets users work in any bit depth - no matter what bit depth the screen is. This means that users can work in 24-bit color even in 8-bit mode.
And the application contains many features not found in other paint programs. But more importantly, it's full featured, but not hard to use. Many other color paint programs have many features which professional users will enjoy, but Delta Tao may just be "color paint for the rest of us."
The current suggested retail price of Color MacCheese is $99 US. Delta Tao is currently selling the program direct, but is interested in broadening distribution. Color MacCheese is a good match to Apple's introduction of lower cost color machines this fall. It is also a good match to Apple's 8•24 and 8•24GC display cards. Because of this, we've put a copy of the application on this CD. You may use it for demos AND for personal use. Please note that the About box contains a license notice specific to Apple, so don't distribute this outside of the company (I don't want to see it up on CompuServe, ok?)
